My comments in relation to application: 23/01864/FUL
I object to the proposed off white rendering proposed in the application.
This will be right next to my property, span considerable height and visibly and negatively stand out; it will appear over-bearing, being located right next to the low wall forming boundary of my property. The existing view from my front drive in all directions is all clay bricks and the way it should be.
The off white rendering does not reflect the style of any building on the adjacent streets -- and despite it being claimed to be out of sight from the road, it would in fact be visible through the wide, open driveway at front of my building.
The alternative of building without rendering would be slightly different coloured clay bricks -- but that would not be an eyesore, it would simply reflect the organic growth (while being in keeping with) the conservation area.
If rendering really must be used, it should be coloured 'brick red' to blend in with the surroundings.
This comment is submitted on behalf of me as resident of 14a and six residential leaseholders of 14 Rothsay Gardens (for which I am freeholder).
Regards -Damian Almeida, 14a Rothsay Gardens.
